The campaign delivered by broadcast specialist markettiers4dc to launch PowerPlay Golf has been shortlisted at the 2011 PRCA Awards.
Heralded as the ‘Oscars’ of the PR Industry, the PRCA Awards showcase the best that the UK and International PR industry has to offer.
The global launch of PowerPlay Golf, which took place at Celtic Manor in April 2011, was streamed live on the PowerPlay Golf website and Facebook page, as well as on major golfing websites worldwide.
In addition, interviews were carried out with UK and international broadcasters via an outside broadcast unit, which included a satellite truck to facilitate down the line interviews with US TV and the global distribution of B Roll shot at and in advance of the launch.
Interviews were secured with CNBC Europe, CNN, Al Jazeera, Sky Sports News, Fox News, The Golf Channel, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC World Service, talkSPORT, Sky News Radio, BBC Wales, ITV Wales and multiple regional stations.
Online coverage included ESPN, Sky Sports, Golf International Magazine, Today’s Golfer, Golf Monthly, CNBC and Wales Online.
